I mean, it looks about like Xenoblade 2 in that respect. The resolution doesn’t seem to be as much of a issue as I thought it would be. Looks better than gameplay videos portrayed, likely due to compression. However, it actually looks pretty good overall, and less blurry than I expected.

Save Triss or lift Saskia's spell: This decision makes a slight difference to how certain characters react to Geralt later in the game.Save Triss or Anais (if you sided with Roche): This decision makes a slight difference to how certain characters react to Geralt later in the game.Side with Roche or Iorveth: This decision makes a slight difference to how certain characters react to Geralt later in the game.It does not effect the outcome of the quest, but characters react differently to Geralt. Kill or spare Aryan: This decision impacts a main quest later in the game.If you do decide to simulate a Witcher 2 save, then you're probably wondering what each dialogue choice with General Voorhis actually does. Choosing to simulate a Witcher 2 save lets you answer with dialogue options, effectively allowing you to shape Geralt's backstory to an extent. To be more specific, he asks Geralt about the events that happened in The Witcher 2. There, he'll be questioned by General Voorhis. Once you're past the opening tutorial and you've slain the griffin in White Orchard, Geralt will be taken to the palace of the Nilfgaardian Emperor. Selecting "Yes" enables additional dialogue choices near the beginning of The Witcher 3. However, you don't get to have your say on these events just yet. The consequences of these events can be seen in The Witcher 3. Simulating a Witcher 2 save means that you get to decide how several key events played out in The Witcher 2. The learning curve reminds me of Gothic I and II, you will have to be very cautious until the end of Chapter I.The second screen asks you to choose your difficulty level, while the third screen determines whether tutorial messages are enabled or disabled.įinally, the fourth screen asks if you would like to "Simulate Witcher 2 Save". Still, you will get your ass kicked whatever you have as your gear at the beginning. DLC armor, on the other hand, can be pretty powerful - the pants will stay on your ass for half the game, for real. So yeah, it's worth it, since the references spice up conversations and the imported gear isn't gamebreaking. The swords also aren't amazing, the only significantly powerful imported sword would be the Moonblade, since Aerondight is only slightly more powerful than a regular silver sword and you'll quickly find better steel ones than the Gvalchir or D'yaebl.
THE WITCHER 2 SAVES PATCH
Raven's Armor is better than your starting jacket, but if you patch the game you will get DLC armor pieces and the Blue Stripe jacket you get will be your main piece up until the half of Chapter One. It's nothing THAT major, though your decision to fight the King of the Wild Hunt might impact that plot. There will be references - if you sided with the Order or the Scoia'tel, some paths and parts will have some bonuses, you'll get a letter from Thaler if he's alive, etc.
